Yoga on the lake: update

Laurie Facci, who has practiced yoga for more than 25 years, is bringing her love of yoga and stretching to the Lake Lucille community. She is holding a small class for neighbors and friends that will be held on the grassy area by the beach and allow participants to soak in our lake’s calm, soothing vibes.

Tara Korn, an experienced yoga instructor, will lead the class. It would be beginner-friendly and open to all age groups. Laurie also plans to assist anyone who will be trying yoga for the first time.

The first class will be on Sunday, June 11th, at 10 am. Space is limited, and there’s a $20 fee. Laurie recommends bringing a yoga mat and towel, although there will be a few provided. Refreshments will be provided afterwards. (Tip: Laurie says that Five Below, in Nanuet, has a yoga mat for $5.)

The classes could continue through the summer and into the fall, giving many people an opportunity to join in. If you’re interested in joining or learning more details, email Laurie at laurief120@yahoo.com, or call text her at 917-862-3019.
